No deadlock broken in De Vrij talks

Lazio are still no further along with getting a new deal agreed with star defender Stefan de Vrij, according to reports.

The Dutch international was thought to be eager to show loyalty to the club after they helped him through his last knee injury, however, negotiations have proved to be difficult so far.

Reports suggest that a low release-clause and agency fees are the main issues between getting a new contract settled for De Vrij.

The 26-year-old is set to be out of contract in the summer and it’s believed the likes of Premier League giants Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all monitoring the defender’s situation in the Italian capital.
