West Ham United manager David Moyes has thrown his support behind a permanent mid-season break after seeing his players reap the rewards.

Manchester City have already confirmed that Raheem Sterling will miss Sunday's clash with West Ham but he could now be facing an extended period out of action.

The clock may have gone red on the January transfer window but with the initial paperwork down, West Ham got their man by signing Jarrod Bowen late on Friday.
